Bloomsbury Publishing have asked me to do 2 painting articles for aspiring artists.

I have had such great fun doing an interview for Bloomsbury Publishing's website designed to help young aspiring artists and writers "Writers and Artists". http://www.writersandartists.co.uk/artists/advice/341/an-artists-toolkit/interviews-with-artists/
 
This was followed by two painting tutorials. I have just finished one and the other will be posted next week. The first is dedicated to my favourite subject.....insects!! This is the macro photo from my own images that I recreate in watercolours.....

I really hope that both the interview and the tutorials help to inspire and guide aspiring artists in their early years, especially when it can seem like nothing is going as you plan.

    Loved reading your interview, it was very inspiring. And it was great to meet you yesterday at Slimbridge (at the end of the day, with my three boys). Thank you for your patience in showing them the insects through your microscope, they were fascinated. The oldest has started a drawing of the bee that he photographed through the microscope. Your enthusiasm is infectious! So thank you again. And your art is absolutely amazing, I have loved it ever since I first saw it on the walls at Slimbridge, it really is outstanding.

      Sorry you didn't get the message....still such a techno-phobe!! Basically it said thanks for your kind words and I am so pleased that your son did a drawing form the fab bee shot he got.....that is just the way that I do it too!! Perhaps I will see you again at Slimbridge before the Summer is out. All the best, Cath
